On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough to your desired thickness and transfer to a parchment-lined pizza peel or baking sheet.

Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the base of the dough.

Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly, then distribute crumbled sausage on top. Add dollops of ricotta across the pizza and sprinkle with red pepper flakes if using.

Drizzle the assembled pizza with olive oil and transfer (with parchment) onto the preheated stone or sheet.

Bake for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbling.

Remove from oven, drizzle with hot honey, and garnish with fresh basil leaves if desired before slicing and serving.
