01 -
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). In a saucepan, cook the sausage, diced onion, and garlic powder until thoroughly cooked through. Break up the sausage into small pieces while cooking.
02 -
Drain excess fat from the sausage mixture and allow to cool slightly.
03 -
Add the room temperature cream cheese to the sausage mixture. Mix with a spoon until well blended. Set aside.
04 -
Open the first container of crescent rolls. Separate each crescent and cut in half to make two triangles.
05 -
Fill each triangle with a teaspoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture. Bring the sides of the crescent dough up and around the filling, pinching together to seal completely.
06 -
Place the filled dough balls on a cookie sheet approximately 2.5 cm (1 inch) apart.
07 -
Bake for 11-14 minutes or until the crescent is golden brown. The filling is pre-cooked so you're only baking until the dough is properly browned.
08 -
Enjoy plain or with maple syrup drizzle or other preferred dipping sauce.
