03 - 12 drops peppermint essential oil (pure, not extract)

→ Optional Ingredients

04 - Red or green food coloring (for tinting)

05 - 6 small 4 oz crystal jelly jars
06 - Decorative ribbon (for gifting)

# Steps:

01 - Add the white sugar to a medium-sized mixing bowl. Pour in the fractionated coconut oil and mix with a spoon or spatula until well incorporated and smooth.
02 - Carefully add 12 drops of peppermint essential oil to the sugar mixture. Stir thoroughly to ensure the oil is evenly distributed throughout.
03 - If desired, add a very small amount of food coloring to the mixture. Stir thoroughly until the color is evenly distributed. Adjust the amount to achieve your desired shade.
04 - Spoon the prepared mixture into the 4oz jelly jars, filling each almost to the top. Use a spoon to pack the mixture down gently, ensuring it's compacted within each jar.
05 - Screw on the lids securely. Tie a decorative ribbon around each jar for a finishing touch, making them perfect for gifting or storage.

# Notes:

01 - This homemade peppermint sugar scrub makes an excellent holiday gift. The scrub exfoliates skin while the coconut oil moisturizes.
02 - Store in a cool, dry place. The scrub should maintain quality for up to 3 months.
