# Ingredients:

01 - 1 small head of cabbage, cut into 1/2-inch thick slices
02 - 1 1/2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
03 - 1 small onion, finely chopped
04 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
05 - 1 tsp salt
06 - 1/2 tsp black pepper
07 - 1 tsp smoked paprika
08 - 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
09 - 1/2 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella, or preferred variety)
10 - 2 tbsp olive oil
11 - 1 egg (optional, for binding)

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
02 - Slice the cabbage into thick rounds (about 1/2-inch thick). Brush both sides with olive oil and place on the prepared baking sheet.
03 - In a bowl, combine ground beef, onion, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, and egg (if using). Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
04 - Take a handful of the meat mixture and press it onto each cabbage slice, shaping it into a uniform patty.
05 - Bake for 25 minutes until meat is cooked through.
06 - Remove from the oven and sprinkle cheese evenly on top of each burger.
07 - Switch oven to broil setting and cook for 3-5 minutes until cheese is melted and slightly golden.
08 - Garnish with fresh parsley or serve with sour cream, mustard, or your favorite dipping sauce.

# Notes:

01 - For a vegetarian option, substitute ground beef with a plant-based meat alternative.
02 - Add additional spices or herbs to the meat mixture for extra flavor profiles.
03 - Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
