Flaky salmon with sweet-savory orange teriyaki glaze, garnished with green onions and sesame seeds for a quick Asian-inspired meal.

# Ingredients:

→ Salmon

01 - 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

→ Orange Teriyaki Sauce

02 - 2 teaspoons cornstarch
03 - 4 teaspoons water
04 - ⅔ cup orange juice
05 - 1 teaspoon orange zest
06 - ⅓ cup soy sauce
07 - ¼ cup brown sugar
08 - 1 teaspoon minced fresh ginger
09 - 2 cloves garlic, minced
10 - ½ teaspoon sesame oil

→ Toppings

11 - Sesame seeds
12 - Red pepper flakes
13 - Green onions, chopped

# Steps:

01 - In a small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Combine all sauce ingredients including the cornstarch mixture in a small saucepan. Bring to a low simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes until lightly thickened. Remove from heat and transfer to a bowl to cool.
02 - While the sauce is cooling, preheat oven to 200°C (400°F).
03 - Line a baking sheet with lightly oiled foil. Place salmon fillets on the sheet and generously baste with half of the sauce, reserving the remaining sauce for later use.
04 - Place salmon in the preheated oven and bake for 14 minutes, or until the salmon is flaky.
05 - Remove salmon from the oven and baste with additional sauce. Place under the broiler for about 1 minute or until the top is golden with light charring.
06 - Serve salmon over steamed rice and garnish with red pepper flakes, chopped green onions, and sesame seeds.

# Notes:

01 - Store leftover salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
02 - If fresh garlic is unavailable, substitute with 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
03 - If fresh ginger is unavailable, substitute with ½ teaspoon ground ginger.
