Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese (Print Version)

# Ingredients:

→ Sandwich Base

01 - 4 slices sourdough bread (or preferred type)
02 - 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
03 - 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese

→ Filling

04 - 1 cup cooked chicken, shredded or sliced
05 - 4 slices mozzarella cheese (or 1 cup shredded)
06 - ¼ cup marinara sauce
07 - 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

# Steps:

01 - Spread softened butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the buttered sides and press gently to adhere.
02 - Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
03 - Place one slice of bread (buttered side down) in the skillet. Layer with mozzarella cheese, shredded chicken, marinara sauce, and another slice of mozzarella.
04 - Top with a second slice of bread, buttered side facing up.
05 - Cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Reduce heat if browning too quickly.
06 - Carefully flip the sandwich and toast the other side for 3-4 minutes. Press gently with a spatula to ensure even cheese melting.
07 - Remove from skillet, let cool slightly, then slice in half and serve warm.
