# Ingredients:

01 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
02 - 12 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into rounds
03 - 1 small onion, diced
04 - 1 bell pepper, diced
05 - 3 cloves garlic, minced
06 - 1 cup long-grain white rice, uncooked
07 - 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained and rinsed
08 - 2 cups low-sodium chicken broth

# Steps:

04 - Add black beans, broth, and the cooked sausage back into the pot. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 18–20 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked.
05 - Remove from heat. Let it rest for 5 minutes before fluffing with a fork. Garnish with chopped cilantro and a squeeze of fresh lime juice.
