# Ingredients:

→ Loaf

01 - 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
02 - 1 tsp baking powder
03 - 1/2 tsp baking soda
04 - 1/4 tsp salt
05 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
06 - 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
07 - 1/2 tsp ground allspice
08 - 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
09 - 1/2 cup granulated sugar
10 - 1/4 cup brown sugar
11 - 2 large eggs
12 - 1/2 cup apple cider
13 - 1 tsp vanilla extract

→ Cinnamon Sugar Crust

14 - 1/4 cup granulated sugar
15 - 1 tsp ground cinnamon
16 - 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

# Steps:

01 - Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 23×13 cm (9×5 inch) loaf pan.
02 - In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice until well combined.
03 - In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in apple cider and vanilla extract.
04 - Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix to maintain a tender crumb.
05 - Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
06 - While the loaf is baking, combine cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl. When the loaf is done, allow it to cool slightly in the pan.
07 - Brush the top of the warm loaf with melted butter, then generously sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture to create a crust.
08 - Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan. Slice and serve warm for the best donut-like experience.

# Notes:

01 - For extra texture, add 1/2 cup of chopped apples or nuts to the batter.
02 - If apple cider isn't available, substitute with apple juice or buttermilk.
03 - This loaf freezes well for up to 3 months when wrapped tightly.
